How to Clean a GE Range Stove Top

Cleaning your GE Range stove top after each use will prevent spills from hardening onto the grates and cooktop and making it more difficult to clean later.

Things You'll Need

  • Water
  • Sponge
  • Detergent
  • Towel
  • Cerama Bryte
  • Paper towel
  • Check to ensure the burners are off and that the stove top is not heated to avoid injury.

  • Fill a sink with water and remove grates.

  • Place grates into the water and squeeze a drop of detergent onto the sponge and scrub the grates until clean. Rinse thoroughly. Clean with a dry towel and set aside.

  • Squeeze a few drops of Cerama Bryte onto the stove top and wipe with a paper towel until the hardened spots are removed.

  • Rinse the sponge and wipe the stove top clean. Replace grates.
