How to Make Pew Flowers
Wedding pew decorations need not be expensive or time consuming. A few simple items can be turned into breathtaking pew decorations that line the bride's path down the aisle. Choose flowers that match the bridal bouquet, or match the color of the flowers to the wedding colors.

1
Place a foam ball in a sink filled with water, and set a plate or other heavy object on top of the ball to keep it submerged. Soak the ball in water for about 30 minutes to completely saturate it.
-
2
Cut the stems to about 3 inches below the base of the flower. Cut the stems at an angle to allow the flowers to soak up plenty of water and to stay fresh longer. Choose any flower that you desire, preferably flowers that match the bridal bouquet. Select sturdy flowers, such as roses, Gerbera daisies and carnations, for the best results.

3
Push a flower stem into the foam ball, starting at the top, and continue inserting flowers in a circle around the ball. Position the flowers close together so none of the foam shows between them. Fill in the rest of the ball with flowers.

Cut a 24-inch piece of 1- or 2-inch-wide satin ribbon. Fold the ribbon in half, and attach it to the top of the ball with two pearl-headed straight pins pushed through the middle of the ribbon into the ball. Tie a bow with the loose ends of the ribbon.
-
5
Place a small self-adhesive hook on the inside of the end of the pew; attach the hook upside down. Hang the flower ball by looping the bow over the hook. Attach flower balls to every other pew if desired or only to the first three or four pews.
