How to Change Account Information on AOL

Launch AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and log in. Click "Menu" at the top of the window, then click "AIM" and "Edit my Account Info." Your web browser will open, and you will be asked to answer a security question to confirm your identity.

Click the "Update" link under "Contact Information" to change the name displayed to your buddies, location, email address, and gender. Click "Save" when you are finished.

Click "Change Account Security Question" or "Change Password" if you would like to change the password used when you sign in to AIM or the security question asked when you change your account information.
