Registering for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) has never been easier, especially for those with access to the Internet. Here's how to sign up.

From Quick Guide: Understanding the GMAT
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find out when the GMAT is being offered in your area. Go online at www.gmat.org, or request the GMAT Information Bulletin from the MBA Store.

  2. Step 2

Sign up early. Although it is possible to schedule your test within a few days of the exam date, popular dates (weekends, in particular) fill up quickly.

  3. Step 3

Allow enough time for your test to be scored and results to reach your graduate schools of choice. Be sure to consider the admissions deadlines for the schools to which you are applying.

  4. Step 4

Pay the fee. In the U.S., its territories, and Puerto Rico, the test fee is $165. Elsewhere it's $210.

  5. Step 5

Mail in your check with your completed registration form, or pay by credit card when you register online.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to stick with your original test date, if at all possible. There is a fee for rescheduling or canceling an appointment, and if you give less than seven days notice, there's no refund.
