How to Reset the Airbag Warning Light in a Windstar

The airbag warning light in a Ford Windstar may come on when the airbag malfunctions. However, once the airbag assembly is fixed, you'll need to know how to reset the airbag warning light in your Windstar. The warning light will stay on until you reset it. For this, you'll need a special tool available from Ford, called a diagnostic reset tool.

Instructions

1. Open the fuse panel underneath the steering wheel column.

2. Insert the pinned connector of the diagnostic reset tool into the pinned receiver input on the fuse panel.

3. Turn the ignition key to the "II" position and wait for the diagnostic reset tool to stop blinking. Once it stops blinking, your airbag warning light should be reset.
