How to Report Tax Fraud
Tax fraud refers to the act of reducing one's tax liability through fraudulent means, such as by lying about actual income, hiding income or assets or general avoidance of paying the amount she truly owes. It is important to note that some methods of tax avoidance, like claiming legitimate deductions, are not actually tax fraud. However, measures taken to misreport or not report income or assets to avoid paying taxes are considered tax fraud.
