How to Start a Murray Push Mower

Murray has been making lawnmowers for many years; their products are popular due to ease of use and affordable prices. For a homeowner, the Murray push mower is a good choice--the price is lower than most other brands, and the machine requires very little maintenance. In addition, starting the mower is a breeze.

Instructions

1. Check the gas reservoir and add gas if necessary.

2. Locate the primer bulb on the side of the engine and press it three to five times.

3. Depress the lever on the handle bar, which operates a dead man switch. Unless the lever is depressed, the mower will not start.

4. Grasp the handle of the pull cord, on the right side of the mower, and give it a sharp pull. Guide the pull cord back as it rewinds.

5. If the mower fails to start, give the pull cord another yank.

• Never operate machinery while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Always wear close-toed shoes when using a lawnmower.
