Dentures are false teeth that are removable. Dentures can be made to look natural. You may experience some discomfort with your dentures initially. See your dentist. Discuss whether dentures are the best option for you. Dentures are often less expensive than dental implants or bridges. If you are missing all of the teeth on your upper or lower jaw, you'll need complete dentures. On the other hand, you will need only partial dentures if you still have some of your natural teeth remaining.

Have your dentist make a dental mold of your mouth. She will then use this mold to have your complete or partial dentures created.

Rinse your mouth with water before inserting your new dentures. Then apply a denture adhesive to the dentures. Place the dentures firmly in your mouth. Bite down on them for a few seconds to allow the adhesive to work.

Remove your dentures by swishing water in your mouth, then gently wiggle the dentures back and forth. Be sure to clean your dentures thoroughly with denture cleanser.
