How to Get Rid of Booze Breath
Having "booze breath"---breath that smells like liquor---can put a driver under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol if stopped by a police officer while driving. If a police officer smells alcohol on your breath, she can investigate you further, under suspicion that you may be driving under the influence. If you fail these tests, she can issue a ticket or arrest you for driving under the influence, commonly called a "DUI." A DUI can have serious consequences on your drivers license, employment and pocketbook, so it's best to never drive under the influence of alcohol.

1
Stop drinking prior to getting behind the wheel of a car. Use a blood alcohol content calculator to determine how fast someone of your size and weight metabolizes alcoholic beverages. Stop drinking at least two hours prior to getting behind the wheel of a car.

2
Drink lots of water. Start drinking water and eating some food to get rid of booze breath. If your stomach only has booze in it, your breath will smell like booze. Eating food and drinking water helps metabolize any alcohol in your system.

Brush your teeth and/or chew some gum. It helps to have a travel size toothbrush with you when you plan to drink alcohol. A quick brushing of your teeth after drinking alcohol will clean out your mouth. Focus on brushing the roof of your mouth and tongue. Finish by chewing some minty gum.
