How to Determine NFL Jersey Size With Measurements
Many football fans want to wear a jersey of their favorite team or player, but it can be difficult to shop for one. Typically, an NFL jersey fits different than a normal shirt, so your regular shirt size might not necessarily be the same size as an NFL jersey. Using a measuring tape, it is easy to figure out what size NFL jersey will fit you best.

1
Find an NFL jersey that you already own that fits you, or a shirt that is the similar size of an NFL jersey. You want to measure a jersey and not your own body, because the measurements for NFL jerseys go by the measurements of the jersey.
-
2
Place the jersey or shirt down on a flat surface.
-
-
3
Measure the length of the chest by starting right below the shoulder on the right side and going horizontally to the bottom of the other shoulder.
-
4
Measure the body length on the back of the jersey by starting at the back of the neck and measuring vertically to the bottom of the jersey.

Go to the store or website where you are going to purchase the NFL jersey, and most of them will have a chart that tells you what size NFL jersey you need based on the measurements you took. For example, using the Dick's Sporting Goods Football Jersey Sizing Chart (see Dick's Sporting Goods in the References section), and are buying a Reebok Authentic NFL Jersey, if your chest is 46-inches and body length is 32-inches, then according to the chart you will need a small (size 46) NFL jersey.
