Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a box of baking soda from your local drugstore. Make sure to purchase hydrogen peroxide that comes in dark bottles. Avoid buying the kind in transparent containers, since hydrogen peroxide loses its effectiveness when exposed to light.

    • 2

Open the bottle of hydrogen peroxide, making sure to keep it away from your face. Pour 1 ounce into a bowl filled with 2 ounces of baking soda. The baking soda will enhance the bleaching properties of hydrogen peroxide. Mix the solution until it turns into a paste, adding more hydrogen peroxide if needed.

    • 3

Dip and roll a clean, dry toothbrush into the mixture, making sure to cover the entire head of the toothbrush. Brush your upper and lower teeth in a circular motion for 10 minutes. Keep dipping the toothbrush into the mixture until there is none left. Spit out and rinse with clean drinking water.

Gargle with hydrogen peroxide to complete the bleaching process. Add 3 ounces of hydrogen peroxide to 5 ounces of clean drinking water. Swish the solution around your mouth for five minutes, then spit out and rinse. Not only will this bleach your teeth, it can also kill many bacteria causing bad breath.
