Contact your local Office of Child Support Enforcement. There are a number of tools that they use to locate an absent father. They also help you legally establish paternity, establish a court order for child support and collect child support payments. Fill out an "Application for Child Support Services." This application can be downloaded online from the Administration for Children and Families website or picked up at your local child support enforcement agency. This will provide the state agency with the information it needs about the other parent to begin locating him to enforce a child support order.

Log on to each social site and select the "People Search" tab. Enter the dad's first and last name, and click the "Search" button to view the search results.

Ask the deadbeat dad's relatives and mutual friends for information on his whereabouts. You may get a telephone number, cell phone number or even information regarding his current place of employment. Be sure to keep notes on all the information you have collected.
