  1. How to Print Single Checks in QuickBooks

      Find the "Banking" menu and select "Write Checks." Enter the check information or click "find" to search for a previously entered check. Double-click on the check when you find it.

      Click "Print" at the top of the "Write Checks" window. A window will appear with a check number inside it. Match your check number with the one given. If required, update the number by typing over the existing number. The system remembers the last check that was printed. Press "OK."

      Load the check into the printer. Select print settings and press "Print." Sign the check.

Tips & Warnings

  • By selecting the checkbox, "to be printed" in the "Write Checks" window you can accumulate checks to be printed and print them in a batch.

  • Depending on the printer, the wording on the checks may not line up perfectly.

  • There may be small differences when using a Mac version or Quickbooks Online.
