How to Upgrade a T-Mobile Wing

The T-Mobile Wing is one of the more popular phones provided by the cell phone company. As such, T-Mobile frequently puts out updates to the software, or fimware, that powers the T-Mobile Wing. Upgrading the firmware allows you access to new features, or fixes bugs or errors that may have hindered performance in the previous software.

Things You'll Need

• USB cable
• Computer
• Internet access

1. Download the T-Mobile Wing update utility.

2. Close any other programs, including the Web browser.

3. Connect your T-Mobile Wing to your computer via its cable.

4. Turn on Microsoft Activesync if it does not automatically activate.

5. Make sure your Wing has at least a 50 percent charge. Ideally, it should be fully charged.

6. Run the T-Mobile update program you downloaded. Follow the prompts.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not remove the Wing from the connection at any time during the upgrade process.

• As your Wing upgrades, it may turn itself off and on several times over the course of the upgrade.
