How to Control Weeds Around an Electric Fence

If you have an electric fence around your property, protecting your prized possessions, then you probably notice quite a bit of greenery developing right underneath the fence. You might consider pulling the weeds underneath the fence, but that could be a big task. Instead, use a natural way of killing the weeds.

Things You'll Need

• White vinegar
• Spray bottle
• Rake

Instructions

1. Fill the spray bottle with white vinegar.

2. Turn off the power to your electric fencing.

3. Spray the vinegar onto the weeds located underneath the electric fencing. The vinegar shuts off the plant's ability to take in nutrients.

4. Turn on electric fencing. Wait up to two days until the weeds are completely brown. Turn off the electric fence.

5. Rake up the dead, brown weeds. Turn on the electric fence.
