Instructions

    • 1

Sprinkle some of the boric acid cleaner around the outside entrances to your home and in places the palmetto bug might try to hide, such as underneath counters, along baseboards, in dark areas such as closets and near water pipes.

    • 2

Place roach traps or sticky traps in and around your home. Sticky traps have a special glue that attracts and kills the palmetto bug. Whichever trap type you choose, place them in areas of your home, such as those mentioned in the previous step, where the palmetto bug tends to hide.

    • 3

Refrain from leaving your windows and doors open unless you have screens on them to keep the palmetto bugs out.

    • 4

Check around your doors and windows for any small holes or openings. These holes give the palmetto bugs easy access into your home. For that reason, take measures to seal up those holes to block entrance.

    • 5

Avoid leaving food out and dirty dishes laying around. This will only attract more bugs.

    • 6

Fix any leakages from water pipes in your home. The standing water and moisture that is caused by the leakage will attract the palmetto bug.
