How to Make an Alphabet Chart

Prepare a quick and easy ABC chart for your preschooler or preschoolers by gathering these few items to create an effortless alphabet chart.

Things You'll Need

  • Canvas
  • Tracing paper
  • Large Alphabet Stickers
  • Pictures to match letters
  • Textured paint
  • Black Permanent Marker
  • Clear varnish
  • Paint brushes
  • Measuring tape

A is for Accurate

  • Measure canvas so that six pictured letters can go across and five down.

  • Trace pictures from template and trace onto canvas using tracing paper and pencil or find other pictures to go with letters.

  • Go over tracings again with permanent marker. This gives enhancement and depth to each picture.

  • Paint pictures desired color and allow time to dry. It may take 5 to 10 minutes for paint to dry.

  • Glue or stick letters onto each picture.

  • Apply clear varnish with paint brush for protection of canvas.
