Things You'll Need:
- baby oil
- rubbing alcohol
- Q-tips
- Patience

Step 1
Belly buttons can be one of the hardest areas in your body to clean. It is also very sensitive, so you must be very gentle and patient. First, gather your supplies. You'll need a couple Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly before the whole process.
-
Step 2
Before cleaning your belly button, you must be patient with the whole process! If you rush, you can hurt yourself, since the belly button is very sensitive. Be patient!
-
Step 3
Get the Q-tip and dip it in rubbing alcohol, and gently stretch one side of your belly button with one hand. Put your other hand (the one with the Q-tip) in a way that it stretches out the other side of the belly button. Gently work your way around the belly button, cleaning lint and dirt that might be lodged inside.
-
Step 4
Discard your old Q-tip and repeat the process about 2-3 more times, or until all of the dirt and lint are removed. Make sure that you do not push in too hard.
-
Step 5
If you are allergic to rubbing alcohol, you can try substituting it with baby oil. Since the belly button tends to be odorous, you can also get a feminine hygiene wash too.
-
Step 6
Lie on your back and pour a couple drops of baby oil in to your navel. You can set it for about 10 minutes to help loosen the lint and dirt that is built up inside your belly button.
-
Step 7
Like in Step 3, work your way around the belly button with the Q-tip, in a gentle, circular motion.
-
Step 8
Lastly, apply your belly button with feminine hygiene wash and rinse thoroughly!
