How to Lose Weight Around Your Face

The face is one of the first things someone notices when meeting others. It also is one of the areas people spend the most time beautifying. A chubby face can stem from too much fat in your diet, a loss of elasticity in the skin or both. But you can lose weight in your face with a dedicated weight-loss program, easy facial exercises and a few simple changes to your diet.

      Drink more water to battle dehydration, which causes bloating in the face (as well as bags under the eyes). Limiting alcohol also helps prevent dehydration.

      A healthy diet and cardiovascular exercise helps improve facial muscles, tightening the skin and helping your face appear more youthful and invigorated.

      To tighten the skin around your eyes, lie on your back on a bed, with your head hanging over the edge. Relax your neck, and open your eyes as wide as possible, lifting your eyebrows as high as they will go. Hold for five seconds, release, and repeat for 10 repetitions.

      For your cheeks, stick your tongue out while raising the tops of your cheeks toward your eyes, as if you are squinting hard. Hold for five seconds, relax your face, then repeat for 10 repetitions. Follow this by lifting your bottom lip over your top lip, attempting to touch your nose with the bottom lip. Hold for 10 seconds, relax, then repeat for five repetitions.

      To exercise your jawline and jowls, smile as wide as you can. Stick your tongue out, then raise it as close to your nose as you can. Hold it in this position for five seconds, rest, then do two more repetitions.

      Seaweed and sorbitol supplements dramatically improve skin color and elasticity.

  • Keep your diet stable to maintain your weight loss.

  • Avoid crash diets. Although haphazardly cutting calories provides quick results, crash diets are not sustainable, and you can regain the weight and more. Tailor a healthy diet to your daily schedule, and always aim for steady weight loss.
