Instructions

    • 1

Lay newspaper over your workspace to prevent ink stains or other damage. Make sure your workspace is clear and you have plenty of room to lay out your materials.

    • 2

Select the stamp designs and ink colors you will use for your note cards. A company called Stampin' Up offers individual image stamps as well as theme collections for everyday use, holidays, special events and assorted sentiments. You can also find a wide selection of stamps, inks and embellishments at most craft stores.

    • 3

Measure and mark the size you wish to make your note card if you are not using a precut set. Use the scissors to cut your note cards to desired size, following marks.

    • 4

To make a uniform set of note cards, use the ruler and pencil to mark where you will apply the stamp or stamps on every note card and/or envelope. If you want to make each card different, skip this step.

    • 5

Gently press the stamp, rubber side down, on a moist ink pad. Be sure to check that all the lines on the design are covered with ink for a solid, even transfer.

    • 6

Press the inked stamp onto the note card and/or envelope where desired, using even pressure. Do not rock the stamp back and forth on the paper. Repeat this process for all your note cards. Allow ink to air-dry for about 60 seconds before touching to avoid smearing.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can color in your stamps with crayons, colored pencils, watercolors pens, gel pens or any other medium.

  • Embellish your note cards by creating layered effects or attaching accents with other Stampin' Up or craft products.

  • Children should be supervised when using scissors or ink.

  • Ink should not be ingested. Follow product guidelines and warnings.

  • Do not leave ink pads uncovered for long periods of time, as they will dry up.

  • Use the recommended cleaner to remove ink residue from rubber stamps to prevent discoloration or uneven ink buildup.
