How to Clean Dupont Laminate Flooring

Dupont laminate flooring is a high-end brand of flooring, known for its superior quality and craftsmanship. This is a perfect alternative to hardwood, as it closely resembles hardwood but comes with only a fraction of the price tag. Cleaning the flooring is an easy task, as it requires only a few ingredients mixed with a little elbow grease. While retail cleaning products are available for use on laminate floors, a simple homemade solution comprised of a handful of inexpensive ingredients will clean the floors perfectly, leaving no film or residue behind.

Things You'll Need

• Bucket
• Mop
• Water
• Dish soap
• Lemon Juice
• Vinegar

Instructions

1. Pour 2 cups of water into a cleaning bucket, along with 2 cups of white vinegar. The vinegar will clean and disinfect the floors, and also break up any film that has developed from prior use of cleaning products.

2. Pour 1 cup of lemon juice into the bucket as well, which will create a scented cleaning product, and also work as an added cleaning element.

3. Add 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap to the solution as well, which will clean and cut through grease and buildup. Agitate the bucket to combine ingredients.

4. Dip a mop in the cleaning solution, then pull out and twist excess water out of the mop.

5. Mop over the laminate flooring as you normally would, and continue until you are pleased with the results.
