How to Hunt From a Ground Blind
You found a new property for hunting, but there aren't any suitable trees to place a stand. Maybe you're not comfortable with heights and don't want to climb a tree. Whether you build a blind or hunt out of a commercially manufactured blind, follow the same drill.

1
Place the blind at least a week before you plan to hunt. This gives the animals time to get used to the addition to the area.
-
2
Wear dark colors inside the blind. Camouflage isn't as important when hunting from a blind, but animals will see light colors through the shooting windows.
-
-
3
Use scent control. Commercial blinds usually have scent technology built in, but you're still on the ground and closer to your target's nose.
-
4
Approach from downwind as quietly as possible. You don't want to alert the animals to your presence.
-
5
Minimize movement. Your target won't be able to see you as well, but it will be able to hear you rustling around.
