How to Donate a Car to a Veterans Organization
Donate your car to Purple Heart, a charitable organization helping veterans. They will accept any car, whether running or not and they also provide free pick up of your vehicle. Donating your car to Purple Heart is also tax deductible!

Go to http://www.purpleheartcars.org and click on the "Donate Now" button. If you do not have Internet access, you may also call Purple Heart at 888-414-4483 and they will walk you through the car donation process over the phone.

Fill out the online donation form with your contact information and information about the car you wish to donate, such as vehicle identification number, name on title and condition of the vehicle. You can also list any mechanical defects or problems with the vehicle and any comments you wish to add.

Type in the numbers exactly as you see them at the bottom of the form. Then click on the "Submit Form" button. Someone from Purple Heart will contact you to set up a day and time to pick up your vehicle. You will need to be present at the time of pickup or leave the keys and title of the vehicle inside the car. If you are not present, the towing company will leave you a towing receipt showing that the car was picked up for Purple Heart. Then Purple Heart will mail you a receipt, withing 10 to 15 days, which you can use to claim a tax deduction.

Tips & Warnings
You can also drop off your vehicle, if you wish, at one of Purple Heart's convenient donation centers.
Boats, RV's and motorcycles are also acceptable Purple Heart donations.
24-hour towing service is available.
Any vehicle donated must have a title without any outstanding liens against the vehicle.
