How to Plan a Baby Shower for Twins
Twins are a double blessing and should be celebrated. Thus when planning a baby shower for twins it's fun to create a unique theme that you can only pull off if the mom-to-be is expecting multiples. This means coming up with games, decorations, food and even favors that all fit the twin theme and make them different from all other baby showers.

1
Choose a theme. "Noah's Ark Two By Two Animals," "Two Peas In A Pod," "Dr. Seuss' Thing One and Thing Two" and "Twice As Nice" are all popular themes. Everything you do will coordinate with the theme so it's important that this is your first step.

2
Set a date. Make sure you choose a date a couple of months before the mother is due as twins often come early and she needs time to put all her new items away. Also check with immediate family members such as the mom-to-be's mother, sisters or grandmas to make sure the date works for them as well.

3
Create decorations. The decorations should of course fit the theme but some general ideas are to hang a clothesline and string "pairs" of baby items side by side such as two pairs of booties, two one-piece outfits, two hats and two bibs. Or cut out big number "2"s and post them on the walls. You can even hang two different sets of streamers in different colors. The centerpieces should also have a double theme so make a diaper cake for each table with two stuffed animal cake toppers on it, two pacifiers, two rattles and so on.

Plan out games. Play a matching pairs game. Get several sets of baby socks, separate them and toss them all in a pile. Give each person 15 seconds to see how many pairs they can correctly put together. The person who completes the most wins. Or have a double diaper dash. Have guests form pairs and work at putting cloth diapers on baby dolls with one hand. The team that completes putting a cloth diaper on each of their dolls only using one hand each the fastest wins.

5
Make the menu. Serve foods with a twist to them, double it up. Make a two-layer dip (ingredients of your choosing), double-decker sandwiches (like a Club sandwich), twice baked potatoes and double berry punch.
-
6
Get party favors. Give your guests something that continues the "twins" theme. A nice pair of earrings, a package of double stuffed Oreos, Double Mint gum, or a pair of cute socks are all great ideas for a little thank you gift favor.
