How to Use Tech Deck Live

Tech Decks place skating in the palm of your hand and Tech Deck Live places Tech Decks on your computer screen. The interactive website allows fans to connect to other users, keep up to date on Tech Deck News and compete in mini games. In late 2009, the site launched a beta Tech Deck Live virtual world. Users were invited to sign up for the world that included an 3D skate park where gamers create their own online avatars similar to other online worlds.

Instructions

  1. Mini Game

    • 1

Click on "Play a Mini Game" from the main Tech Deck Live page to access Jack O' Launcher. Select "Play" from the game menu.

    • 2

Move your mouse up or down to adjust the angle of the drawbridge. A steeper drawbridge will give you more height while a shallow slope will give you a greater distance. Click your left mouse button when you've selected the height.

    • 3

Click your left mouse button once more to select the speed of the skater. This is determined by how high he is when you click. The higher he is on the gate the faster his speed. Click just as he is at the highest point.

Return to the main forum page and log in with your user name and password. Once on, select "Forums" from the top menu to post messages, choose "Photos" to post pictures related to skating and Tech Decks, and "Videos" to watch users perform tricks.
