How to Get Flashing Lights on MySpace

If you want to give your MySpace profile a little pizazz, one of the popular ways to do so is to add graphics to your layout. Animated graphics, like flashing lights, can be used to draw attention to a particular part of your page or as part of your overall profile design.

Instructions

1. Locate the flashing lights image that you want to use and copy the direct URL of the image. You can find flashing light animations on graphics websites like Pyzam.com and AnimationPlayhouse.com (see Resources).

2. Log into your MySpace account and click "Edit Profile," located under the "Profile" navigational menu.

3. Enter the following code in the section where you want to put the flashing lights graphic. Replace "URL.gif" with the correct URL for the image you want to use, making sure to retain the quotation marks.

4. Click "Save Changes." The animated graphic will be displayed on your MySpace profile.

Tips & Warnings

• Get the URL of an image by right-clicking on it and selecting "Properties." You can copy the image's link from the dialog box that appears.
