How to Redeem Royal Caribbean Credit Card Points

In the Royal Caribbean International® or "Royal Caribbean" credit card points program, a Royal Caribbean Visa® credit card holder participating in the program receives points (Royal Points) for dollars spent on general or Royal Caribbean purchases. The cardholder can then redeem the points in exchange for a rewards coupon (Royal Coupon) to use toward Royal Caribbean products such as general or package discounts, free cruises, cabin upgrades, certain types of merchandise and on-board amenities/credits. Full redemption of points occurs sequentially---FIA Card Services, N.A. (Bank of America) manages the points-to-coupon redemption(s) and then Royal Caribbean receives the coupon from the cardholder to process.

Tips & Warnings

  • Royal Points expire after a certain amount of time has passed from the day that the points post to an account. In addition, a per year Royal Point cap exists on the number of points earned from January 1st to December 31st. As the rewards program rules can change at any time and without postal mail notice, request updated information regularly from FIA Card Services, N.A. and Royal Caribbean International.

  • Always pay your FIA Card Services, N.A. Visa credit card bill on time and for at least the minimum amount as FIA Card Services, N.A. and/or Royal Caribbean International can void/expire your points and remove you from the program for a lapse in payments. In addition to a violation of the terms of your credit card agreement, a violation of any aspect of the reward points program rules can also result in removal from the program.

  • Always use your points, if you have enough to redeem, before closing your credit card account as the points expire once you're no longer in the rewards program.

  • Royal Points cannot be redeemed to pay on your Visa credit card balance or for Celebrity Cruise products including cruises/travel packages.

  • Royal Caribbean doesn't allow the use of two coupons for the same product such as combining a Royal Coupon for a cruise discount with a Royal Coupon for a free cruise.

  • Taxes may apply to this program depending on your state and the rewards product--check with your state and FIA Card Services, N.A.
