How to Delete Credit Card Information From XBox Live

Xbox Live is an online gaming service that charges a monthly or annual fee for use. As such, they save your billing and credit card information once you create an account. However, many gamers wish to remove their credit card information from Xbox Live for various reasons, such as issues of privacy or for expired cards. Microsoft makes it easy to delete or edit credit card information.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Xbox Live account
  1. Step 1

    Log in to your preferred web browser on a computer with Internet access. Navigate to the Xbox Live home page. See the resources section for the hyperlink.

  2. Step 2

    Click the "Sign in" text at the top right of the web page. This will take you to a Windows Live ID sign-in page. Enter your Windows Live ID username and password, which you created when you signed up for Xbox Live. Click the "Sign in" button to log into the Xbox Live website.

  3. Step 3

    Click on your gamertag, which is displayed near the top right section of the website. This lets you view your gamercard as well as update your profile. Click on the "Contact Information" text, which is located to the right of your avatar. This guides you to a page where you can update your address, phone number and other contact information.

  4. Step 4

    Click the "Manage Payment Options" text on the left side of the screen. It's the bottom option on the sidebar menu.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "Remove" text next to the credit card that you'd like to delete from your Xbox Live account. A dialogue box will appear asking you to confirm the deletion. Click on "Yes" to finish deleting the credit card.
