How to Install a Momo Steering Wheel on a RSX

A MOMO wheel is a great way to upgrade the interior of an Acura RSX. Stock steering wheels are relatively large, and a smaller, more grippy wheel can make a car feel more sporty. It can also make the car more fun to drive and easier to drive fast. Installing a MOMO wheel is a straightforward job that can be done in a few minutes with a minimum of tools.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the battery at the negative terminal.

    • 2

Remove the stock steering wheel. Carefully pull off the padded cover on the wheel.

    • 3

Unbolt the large center nut that holds the wheel on with the appropriately sized socket.

    • 4

Disconnect the air bag and the wires that go to the horn and any steering wheel functions that your car has. Note that electrical functions on the stock wheel will not work with the MOMO and that your air bag light may turn on.

    • 5

Carefully remove the wheel by pulling it straight toward you. You may need to use a steering wheel puller.

    • 6

Slide the MOMO hub adapter onto the steering column. Attach the horn ring and horn wire according to the supplied directions. Bolt on the large center nut to the steering column.

    • 7

Bolt the wheel to the adapter using the supplied Allen head bolts and Allen wrench.
