Unwanted emails come in the form of text messages on your cell phone and they can become annoying quickly. All you have to do is enter your phone number somewhere on the Internet and you could be at risk of receiving tons of emails every day. If you do not want the texts, it is even more aggravating when you are charged for them as well. You can set up a block list on your phone so that you do not have to deal with the unwanted texts any longer.
Things You'll Need
- Web site for your service provider
Go to your cell phone company's website and follow the instructions provided to block unwanted text messages (see links in References and Resources). Each company's procedure varies slightly, but you will be able to set your preferences and block any unwanted emails.
Decide who you want to block. You can stop text messages all together or you can choose specific domain names, email addresses or web nicknames to block.
Call your cell phone provider and make sure your block list has been set up properly. The company may even be able to reverse any charges you did not agree to.
