Purchase hangers that are especially made for hanging pants. There are two types of pants hangers. One style has an open bar so that the pants can be hung over the bar, but feature a no slip texture so that the pants will not slide off. The other style is a clamp that can be slipped over the hems of the pants and squeeze closed, holding the pants without requiring them to be folded.

Crease your pants. Dress pants should be creased down the center of the leg. To do this, button or clasp the pants, and insert one finger behind the button, and the other finger behind the center of the waistband in the back of the pants. Pull them gently, flattening the pants, then lay them down and smooth the legs of the pants.

Use a clamp-style hanger if you are hanging one pair of pants. Keeping the crease intact, slide the clamp over the bottom cuff of the pants, so that they hang upside down. Don't hang them by the waistband of the pants, because the clamp is not long enough to hold the entire waistband and will therefore cause wrinkles. If you are using a double bar hanger to hang two pairs of pants, space the pants across the bar so that the weight is distributed evenly.

Tips & Warnings
Iron the pants before hanging to reduce any post washing wrinkles. Spray them with a wrinkle guard to further prevent wrinkles.
Do not fold pants at the knees, but above the knees, when hanging on a bar hanger.
