Rinse the flatware to remove dust. Wipe the flatware dry with a soft cloth.

Dampen the end of a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol and rub the flatware. Use a cotton swab to clean in between the tines on forks.

Plug the drain in the kitchen sink and pour 1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid into the sink. Fill the sink three-fourths full with hot water.

Place the flatware in the sink and allow it to soak in the soapy water for 10 minutes.
