Instructions

  1. Diminish A Scar With Correct Make Up

    • 1

Use a medical formula under eye concealer to put in the area of the scars. This is used to fill in the scar, so there is no indent or crack in the skin. Buy the concealer that is closest to your skin color so it will blend in. Let the concealer dry.

Next apply medical formula foundation. Medical makeup is sold online and in many stores for covering up scars and birth imperfections. First apply the foundation around the area of the scar by patting it on. Then smooth out the foundation away from the scar in an upward motion. Finish the application by applying the foundation lightly on the rest of your face to give a flawless and uniform appearance.

    • 3

Use a darker shade of foundation powder to lightly dust your face. Sparingly brush it on, sweeping from the middle of the face to the outside using short strokes. This will help even up the tone of the foundation and it works to keep the foundation from coming off if you should get hot and sweat.

Draw attention away from scars under your eyes by highlighting the lids with eye shadow. Subtle shades that bring out the color of your eyes will take the attention off of any scars that may be apparent anywhere on your face. Put the eyel shawdow just on your lid, leaving the space above that clean, with only the foundation for the coloring. Use light brown eye liner and mascara to draw attention to the center of your eye.

Apply blush along the line under your cheekbone. Start in the middle of your face and brush the blush upward, towards your ear. Once again, use sparingly, this should be a subtle look. This also works at drawing the attention away from under your eye where the scars are.

Tips & Warnings

  • Apply a light layer of lipstick to your lips, again another trick on drawing the eye away from the scars.

  • Do not use the medical foundation in the area of the scars and then another foundation for the remainder of your face. It will never blend in perfectly and will not look natural.
