How to Monogram Soap

Monogramming has become wildly popular in recent years. People often give monogrammed items as gifts. This adds a personal touch and shows more attention to the gift. Most fabrics can be embroidered, and most metals can be inscribed. Soaps can be monogrammed just as easily as some of the other items. You can monogram your own soaps and give them away as personalized gifts, or keep them for yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Check to see that the monogrammed branding iron will fit on top of the soap. It shouldn't be to big for the bar of soap.

    • 2

Start the fire for your branding iron. You may choose to use your fireplace or an outdoor grill to use as the heat source to heat up your branding iron.

    • 3

Lay out your soaps in a row on top of a towel or flame retardant tarp. Make sure the soaps are clean of debris.

    • 4

Heat up the branding iron by holding it in the fire for around 5 seconds. The iron needs to be hot enough to mark the soaps, but not hot enough to completely melt the bar.

    • 5

Gently press the branding iron on top of one of the bars of soap. Hold in place for 1-2 seconds, then pull up and off of the soap.

    • 6

Check to see if the monogram looks right. Continue to monogram the rest of the soaps.
