Instructions

    • 1

Measure 1 inch from the end of a paper towel or toilet paper tube and mark with a pencil. Using the serrated knife, slice the inch from the end of the tube to create a ring.

    • 2

Cut a 2 1/2 inch wide by 6 1/2 inch long rectangle from white satin. To prevent the satin from fraying, use pinking shears. With the right side up, wrap the length of the rectangle around the tube ring. Evenly extend the long edges of the satin from both sides of the cardboard ring. Overlap the short ends of the rectangle and apply craft glue to secure it to the napkin holder. Apply craft glue to the wrong side of the satin, along the long edges. Fold the long edges inside the ring and overlap them. Press the seam down to smooth it.

    • 3

Cut a 36-inch length of elastic beading string. Thread the string on a needle. Thread clear multifaceted beads of varying sizes on the thread. Do not let them slip off the end. When you have a 6-inch length of beads, adjust the thread so there is 2 inches of thread extended from the end of the beads. Cut the other end of the thread 2 inches from the other end of the beads. Tie the thread ends together, slightly pulling the elastic to tighten. Apply a dab of the glue to the knot and clip the elastic tails. The excess elastic string on the needle is for additional napkin holders.

    • 4

Slip the elastic band of beads over the satin covered napkin holder and center. Apply a dab of glue under a few beads to secure.

Cut a 2 1/2 inch wide by 6 1/2 inch long rectangle from black cotton fabric. With the right side up, wrap the length of the rectangle around the tube ring. Evenly extend the long sides of the black fabric from both edges of the cardboard ring. Overlap the short ends of the rectangle and apply craft glue to secure to the napkin holder. Apply craft glue to the wrong side of the black fabric, along the long edges. Fold the long edges inside the ring and overlap them. Press down the seam to smooth it.

    • 7

Cut a 6 1/2 inch length of 1/4 inch wide piece of white satin ribbon. Center and wrap the ribbon around the napkin holder, overlapping and gluing the ends over the back seam of the black fabric.

    • 8

Turn the ring to the opposite side from the seam. Apply craft glue to the edge on one side of a novelty wedding band and center it on the napkin holder. Overlap another wedding band over the first. Place a dab of craft glue between the areas where the bands connect. Allow the glue to dry.
