1. Register on the Capital One website. Before you can pay your bill online, you must register with the company website. Log on to www.capitalone.com, and select the option for registering to manage your card online. Provide a username and password that's secure. Answer a number of routine security questions to ensure that your information is valid.

2. Enter in your account information. Paying your Capital One bill online is going to require that you link your account to an existing bank account from which money is withdrawn. Select your preferred bank, and enter in important information about your bank, such as address and telephone number. Enter in the account number and routing number. Verify and save your information.

3. Pay your bill. Once your information is saved, you can begin to pay your bill online. Click on the icon that reads "Pay My Bill" to view your current account information. Enter in the dollar amount that you want to pay for the month. You have the option of paying a higher amount than the minimum required. Select a business date that you would like for the transaction to occur. Confirm your payment.
