When you are receiving a social security check or payment it is important to know how to cash the check so that you can receive and the money to spend or save.

Write your signature on the back of your social security check before approaching the bank teller.

Give your signed social security check to the bank teller along with the information on your savings or checking account. They may ask you some questions to verify your identity.
