How to Lock the Tool Bar in Wow

Locking your World of Warcraft character's tool bars, or action bars, is simple. Locking the action bars will ensure that you do not accidentally place a skill icon somewhere else on the action bar or remove it completely from the bar. This is crucial if you are in the middle of an epic PvP battle or a challenging raid boss fight.

Instructions

1. Open the "Options" list. Hit the "Esc" key or click the icon that looks like a computer on your menu toolbar.

2. Click on "Interface".

3. Click on "Action Bars" on the left side bar.

4. The option to "Lock Action Bars" is on the right side of the interface screen. Click the box next to it to check it off . The tool bar is now locked.

Tips & Warnings

• -This how-to is for locking the default WoW User Interface only.

• -There are many WoW User Interface add-ons that you can download. These have different action bar options to further customize your User Interface.

• -Each time you want to add or change icons on the User Interface you will need to unlock the action bars.

• -The main menu bar, bag bar, map, and character health bar cannot be moved or changed with the default User Interface. This can be changed with add-ons.

• -From the interface options, you can also add more action bars to your screen.
