How to Make a Large Quantity of Pancakes for a Group/Crowd of 50

Feeding a large group of people and need easy recipes for a crowd? I'm including several and this one is for making Pancakes for a group of about 50. Check out my recipe for making 1 gallon of syrup. Also Check out my other recipes for crowds. You don't have to worry about doing the math. It is done for you. Go to a Food Warehouse or Food Club to purchase your large quantities like Sam's Club, Gordon Foods, or other places. You can often sign up for an account and they can give you discounts for large quantity purchases. If you are a not-for-profit organization, you can maybe get special discounts or other deals. Call ahead to make sure they have everything you need or in case you need to pre-order. Read through everything before getting started.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 18 C flour
  • 2/3 C. baking powder
  • 2 T. Salt
  • 1 1/2 C Sugar
  • 12 eggs, beaten
  • 3 qt. Milk
  • 1 1/2 C Oil
  • Griddle
  • Syrup
  • Butter
  1. Step 1

    Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a very large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, and oil to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly with whisk, but don't over mix or pancakes will be tough.

  2. Step 2

    Heat griddle and grease it. Pour batter on griddle to form pancakes. Cook pancake on one side until the edges are firm and the pancake is full of bubbles.

  3. Step 3

    With flip of the wrist, turn pancakes over to finish cooking on the other side. Makes 50 pancakes. Serve with warm Maple Flavored Syrup and butter.
