How to Cashew Chicken Recipe

You can make your own cashew chicken at home for less then half the cost of buying it in a restaurant. This recipe makes enough for a family of four to eat. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 green peppers
  • 1/3 cup cashew
  • 2 diced onions
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soybean paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

      Mix the sauce ingredients (cornstarch through salt) well and set the mixture aside.

      Cut the chicken breast into small cubes and fry them in a little oil mixed with garlic. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, then add the green peppers and onions into the frying pan.

      Continue to cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle a little rice wine vinegar over the chicken/veggie mixture and cook for another few minutes. Add the cashew nuts and cook for another minute.

      Pour the sauce over the chicken/veggies and heat the dish until all is heated thoroughly.
