How to Bake Fudge Pudding Cake for a Crowd/Group of 80

Feeding a large group of people and need easy recipes for a crowd? I'm including several and this one is for Fudge Pudding Cake. Makes ONE pans sized 18 X 26 X 2 inches or about 80 servings. Check out my other recipes for crowds. You don't have to worry about doing the math. It is done for you. Go to a Food Warehouse or Food Club to purchase your large quantities like Sam's Club, Gordon Foods, or other places. You can often sign up for an account and they can give you discounts for large quantity purchases. If you are a not-for-profit organization, you can maybe get special discounts or other deals. Call ahead to make sure they have everything you need or in case you need to pre-order. Read through everything before getting started.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 C. flour
  • 4 T. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 t. salt
  • 4 1/2 C sugar
  • 12 T. Cocoa
  • 3 C Milk
  • 12 T. Oil
  • 6 C. chopped walnuts
  • 6 C. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 C Cocoa
  • 5 1/4 C very hot water
  • ONE 18 X 26 X 2 inch pan
  1. Step 1

    Blend the first 5 ingredients together in a very large bowl. Stir in milk, oil, and nuts.

  2. Step 2

    Spread batter into an 18 X 26 X 2 inch baking pan. Blend brown sugar and cocoa together and sprinkle on batter.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the hot water over the batter (will bake into a delicious pudding when it bakes with the cocoa and brown sugar).

  4. Step 4

    Bake at 350 degrees for about 45-50 minutes. Serve with ice cream. Yum! Should make about 80 servings.
