Instructions

    • 1

First, measure the length of wall or fence which needs to be heightened for more privacy. Next, purchase latticework from your local home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) The latticework comes in 4 foot by 8 foot panels and in various colors. Along with the latticework, the store also carries appropriate edge, top and connecting pieces in the same color.

Assemble the latticework pieces to cover the desired area along your wall or fence. Attach it to the fence or wall with screws or masonry screws - See Photo.

    • 3

Plant several climbing vines below the latticework at 3 foot intervals. As the vines grow, thread them through the latticework as uniformly as possible. In a year or so, the vine covered latticework will afford both you and your neighbor some additional privacy - See Photo.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you feel that the latticework isn't sturdy enough, place 8' long 2x2's on the wall at appropriate intervals. Then screw the latticework to the 2x2's.
