How to Kill a Print Job in Vista

People often begin to print documents only to remember seconds later that they forgot to change something. There's no need to worry, however, since Windows Vista makes it very simple to control your print jobs. All you need to do is look at the print queue, even while documents are in the midst of printing.         To cancel your own print job, click on the "Start" button. Click "Control Panel" and open the "Hardware and Sound" section. Then click "Printers." Any user is able to cancel their own print jobs.

        In the print queue, find the item you want to stop printing. Right-click and scroll until you find the "Cancel" option.

        To cancel all the items in a print queue, make sure you have permission to manage documents. If you installed the printer, you will be able to manage the documents. If the printer is on a server or connected to a business network, a system administrator may determine whether you have this permission.

        Click the "Printer" menu. Click "Cancel All Documents." The item might finish printing, depending on your printer. The remaining items will cancel.
