Instructions

1. Gather your vehicle information. You will need: year, make, model, VIN number, mileage, title info and the location of the vehicle.

2. Log in to the V-DAC Web site. Locate the Susan G. Komen for the Cure vehicle donation page. You may input the vehicle and pick-up information online by clicking on "Donate Now," or by calling [phone] and speaking with a representative.

3. Sign and mail in all required forms to the address provided. Once the V-DAC processing center receives your paperwork, they will call you and schedule a pick-up. After your vehicle is picked up, it will be cleaned and sent to auction to be sold.

4. Check the status of your donation. Agents with V-DAC keep track of the status of vehicles in the sales process and will be able to give you status updates.

5. After the sale of the vehicle is finalized, obtain a tax receipt or an IRS Form 1098C stating what the vehicle was sold for. You will need this in order to claim this donation as a tax deduction.
