Creating your own personal stationary is very easy. There are a number of software programs you can use to help you. It contains many good templates ranging from labels to calendars. You can download a trial version at Microsoft.com. This will give you enough time to play around with it and create your stationary paper.

Things You'll Need

  • Microsoft Office
  • Photo files (optional)
  • Fill your printer with any type of paper you wish. You can choose colored paper, paper with designs or any kind of paper you wish to use, as long as your printer will print on it.

  • Open up an office application such as Microsoft Word. You can use the shortcut icon on your desktop, or you can open up the Start menu, then go to "accessories" and then find "Microsoft Office." Find Microsoft word and double-click on it. This should open up a blank Word document.

  • Click on the Microsoft icon in the top left corner of the page. Select "New" from the drop down menu. A box will appear where you can choose a template.

  • Scroll down on the left side of the box until you reach "Stationary". Click on it and it will let you choose between a letterhead option or specialty paper. Click on specialty paper.

  • This will show a number of lined paper you can choose for your own personal use. Most of them also have designs on the stationary templates. Click download once you have chosen and clicked on the paper template you want. The template will open up and allow you to type on the stationary template if you wish.

  • Add your name, address, phone number, a quote or whatever you wish to add to the stationary paper. You can even add your own pictures from clip-art, or a file from your computer. To add a picture from your file, click on the "insert" tab at the top and then click on "file." This will open up a box that will allow you to choose a picture from your computer you would like to add. Click on the picture or file name and then click "insert."

  • Print off as many sheets as you want for your own personal use. You can even run them through the printer in the future if you want to add text to the lines at a later date.
