How to Do Slam Dunks on NBA Live 08
Nothing boosts the morale of your team in "NBA Live 08" like a well-placed dunk. Released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStations 2 and 3, this basketball game places you in the large shoes of your favorite NBA teams and players. Make those players proud by using the game's dunk system, which allows you to control your player as you move through the air towards the basket. Experienced players can then take their skills to the Slam Dunk Contest.

Approach the basket when you have control of the ball using the left analog stick and press the "Turbo Button." On the Xbox 360, this button is the right trigger, and on the PS2 and PS3, this button is R2. Your player will speed towards the basket.

Press the "Dunk Button" while continuing to hold down the "Turbo Button" as soon as your player reaches the foul line. Xbox 360 owners will push B, while PlayStation console owners will press square. The player will make the jump towards the basket.

Rotate the right analog stick while your player is airborne to perform trick dunks. Making a full rotation of the analog stick will result in a 360 degree spin.

Press the "Dunk Button" again right before your player's hand reaches the basket. Successfully hitting the button will complete the dunk.

Tips & Warnings
During the Dunk Contest mode in "NBA Live 08," all of your face buttons will initiate a dunk. Press the "Turbo Button" and one of your face buttons to initiate the dunk, and press the same two buttons again to complete the dunk. You can use the analog stick and the left shoulder buttons to increase your chances of a 50-point dunk.
Don't attempt dunks when the basket is heavily guarded. When performing a dunk, your player will be left wide open to have the ball knocked free. Save dunks for when the basket is clear.
