How to Recover Lost Copy & Paste Files

  • Whenever possible, apply the necessary settings to automatically back up those files you create. To do this in Microsoft Word, choose "Tools" from the toolbar menu. Next, choose "Options" and then go to the "Save" tab and check the box next to "Always Create Backup Copy." These steps apply to Windows XP OS.
