How to Reprogram Honeywell Thermostats

Programmable Honeywell thermostats are an energy-saving addition to your home heating and cooling system. The thermostat can be programmed for different temperatures throughout the day based on your schedule. There may come a time that your thermostat will need to be reprogrammed. Instructions

      Flip the bottom of the thermostat down to expose the keyboard. When there is an interruption in the power supply the time display will read "1:00 p.m." Press the "Set Current Day/Time" button on the left side of the thermostat next to the black "Run Program" button.

      Press the "Day" button directly below the "Set Current Day/Time" until the correct day of the week displays on the thermostat display.

      Press the time directional keys to program the correct time on the thermostat. If you are setting for daylight Savings Time you need to press the "Daylight Savings Time" button under the directional keys until the DST display shows on the thermostat display.

      Press the "Run Program" button on the left of the thermostat. Press the "Wake" button next to the time directional buttons. Press the "Day" button until the day you are programming is displays. Press the time directional buttons for the desired time.

      Set the temperature for the wake time using the directional keys on the upper right of the thermostat. Press the "Leave" button and repeat the steps for programming "Wake."

      Repeat the setting procedure for "Wake" to set the "Return" and "Sleep" mode setting on the thermostat. Keep programming the thermostat until all the days of the week are set. Press the "Run Program" button when all the days have been set.

      Copy days that are the same using the "Copy" key. This is works well especially for weekday settings. Press the "Wake" button and then the "Day" button until the desired day to be copied displays on the screen. Press the "Copy" button and then press "Day" until the day you are copying to displays. Press "Copy" again and in two seconds the word DONE will display. Repeat for each day of the week.
