How to Apply Mineral Makeup Foundation Powderthumbnail
The right brush can help make sure your cosmetics are applied properly.

Mineral foundation has become increasingly popular in the last decade. The ingredients in mineral foundation contain no dyes, oils or harsh chemicals. The powder is designed to be used with a large fluffy brush to blend away unsightly marks and discoloration on your face. This make up is perfect for dry and mature skin as it absorbs well and keeps moisture in the skin.

    Things You'll Need

    • Face wash
    • Moisturizing lotion
    • Foundation base
    • Large kabuki brush
    • Mineral makeup foundation
      • 1

Wash face thoroughly with your usual facial cleanser to remove all traces of makeup. Moisturize with a heavy cream or lotion to prevent flaking. Work in the cream or lotion in an outward circular motion, as to absorb fully into the skin. Use products according to your skin type that will not cause break outs, drying or redness.

Apply a foundation base all over, rubbing in small circles. This will help to keep the foundation in place and creates a smoother surface for application.

      • 3

Swirl a soft bristled kabuki brush in your mineral foundation container. Tap off excess back into the foundation container.

      • 4

Apply lightly to your face, starting outwards and working your way in. Make large rounded circles blending outwards. Use additional powder if you have scars, red marks or small acne marks.
