How to Dehydrate Raspberries at Home

Dried fruit is a sweet, healthy snack. Raspberries, in particular, are enjoyable after being dehydrated. With only a few necessary supplies, fruit can be dehydrated at home. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Drying trays
  • Oven
  • Plastic container
  • Moisture-free container

Instructions

      Place the raspberries on drying trays in single layers. Do not stack the berries on top of each other.

      Set your oven to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and place the drying trays into an oven.

      Keep the trays in the oven for around six hours, stirring the berries every three hours.

      Turn the oven off in the final hour of drying, but keep the trays inside the oven.

      Remove the trays from the oven and let the raspberries dry.

      Put the raspberries in a large plastic container. Store the container in a dry area.

      Let the container sit for four to 10 days, shaking it once a day to separate any berries that have stuck together.

      Place the berries in a moisture-proof container and place it in the freezer. They can be stored for six to 12 months.
